On 06/07/2013 my fiance went to our local ABSA branch to cancel a debit order from ABSA Life and we assumed it was cancelled. Much to our shock, on the we received an sms notification on the very next day at 21:03:29, to the extent that ABSA Life continued the debit order after expressed wishes to cancel this. The person at our branch, Louwna, was pleasant and did everything she could do. She forwarded an email to the department involved too. We attempted to call ABSA Life on 10/07/2013, but keep on getting " all our operators are busy at present, please hold". We received notification again on 08/07/2013. Is this standard practice or am I just being grumpy??
