Bad Report on my Credit Score

First National Bank decided to stop my Credit Card account about two months back because of debt review that was cancelled and paid up in September 2010 already!

Now they have given me a bad credit score because of mistakes they made. My credit card account was paid on time every month and even sometimes a little bit more than what was required, but they decided to hand my account over to their attorneys. I tried numerous times to make contact with them, but I could not get any help from my branch or over the phone, so I left the matter there and paid what they said I owed. Myself and the attorneys had an arrangement for me to pay R500 per month until all debt was paid off, which would have taken 6 months. I paid up everything within two months!

Now I'm sitting with a bad credit score according to Trans Union, because First National Bank said that my account was handed over to their attorneys and according to them my account was not paid for 60 days. Absolute bull!!!

I really wish they had the decency to discuss matters like this with the account holder first and make a full investigation before they give a person such bad credit reports.
