First National Bank
FNB delaying repacement of my phone under warranty

Business & Finance

I bought a Galaxy Note cellphone from FNB on 5 July 2013. I started experiencing charging problems with the phone in March 2013. The phone would indicate that it was charging although it was not connected to a charger. It was draining the battery very rapidly, with a full charge lasting less than three hours. I took the phone to Samsung Service Center on Jacquiline Street in Pretoria. The phone was there for three weeks and they could not fix it. They advised me to approach FNB for a replacement as the phone was under warranty. They gave me an Exchange Request Form which I forwarded to FNB together with a copy of my ID and proof of purchase for the phone on 11 June 2013 to the email address [Email Removed] I received a response immediately saying that my query would be attended to within 24 hours. That was the last I heard from FNB. Every time I enquire I am told that my query has been escalated to head office, but nothing comes out of it. Some of my query references are RW13062823327 and RW13070821518. I have not had use of my phone for the last three months, despite paying for it every month. I am really frustrated, please help!!!
