Will not reimburse me for cancellation

I lodge a claim with Auto and General which was rejected. They also changed the conditions of my policy with immediate effect. I called this morning to cancel my policy and they will not reimburse me the premium based on the fact that I need to give a months notice to a Company that is passing the buck, rejecting claims and then will not pay me back pro-rate when I cancelled my policy.
