Unauthorised Deduction

I received an sms this morning 28 June 2013, the first correspondence, advising that R 1 063-00 will be deducted as I have not submitted proof of my vehicle insurance policy.

I have owned my vehicle for 3 years and never have they requested the policy document annually.

What is more disturbing is that after contacting ABSA, ( the number supplied on the sms was actually for FNB), and providing them with my policy document, they advise that they cannot stop the debit order as it is too late.
