Listed on the Bureau but still paying the account

Good day
I would just like to know that i have made an arrangement with Bayport financial services to pay R500 a month as arranged due to affordability. A Debit order has been going off my account every month without fail. And about two months ago i got a call saying that i am in arrears with my account and this is from last year thats why i have made an arrangement and have been sticking to it, only to find out that i want to take a loan and that i have been listed on the bureau. i just want to know if this is fair, is this how the system works that if you are still paying the account that you are listed on the bureau.
