Waste of time bank!

In January 2013, I was in the process of moving to India. Due to the fact there would be no income in South Africa any longer, i decided t downgrade my account from a prestige plus to an elite plus which is much cheaper (relatively speaking). The only reason I still have an active account is because of my home loan and other commitments which need to be debited on a monthly basis. I went into the branch, waited 1 hour to see a consultant and duly filled out the necessary paper work. The account was supposed to be downgraded in February 2013, it is now June 2013 and this has not been done to date. I kept telling the lady to please ensure that everything be done as I was leaving and could not visit a branch again as I would be in another country and cannot repeat the process. I left at the end of January and no feedback, no change... nothing has been done! WHAT A ROYAL WASTE OF MY TIME and on top of that I am paying exorbitant bank charges every month on an account which is not very active. Why dont people do their jobs. How do I go about contacting this waste of time bank to get this change so that I dont have to pay for this account which I am not using!!!

I hate Standard Bank!
