My mother in law (a pensioner) has money invested with your bank and has a cheque account as well. Three weeks back, she went to the ATM to draw money to pay for her grandson's hair cut, she realised with a shock that a couple of thousand rand were missing from her account. A year back the same happened to her and your department found that her card was cloned. Guess what, same thing happened again!! The had a ball buying movie tickets from Cresta, had a shopping spree at Woolworths and Edgars in Blairgowie (she lives in Pretoria and has never been to Cresta or Blairgowie) at her expense! They all the money from her account. During this shopping spree, did she not ONCE get an sms to notify her of these transactions. The money will only be reversed once the "investigation" has been completed which can take up to 14 Days?? This has been going on for almost 3 weeks. How is she supposed to pay her bills? She will be taking her money elsewhere as the service received thus far from Standard Bank has been horrific to say the least.
