Cancelled policy still debited off my account

I signed up for two cash back plans on26 May 2013. Debits were supposed to run on 15 th of each month, on 12th June 2013, I e mailed them and ask them to cancel the policies as I would rather take out medical aid instead. The same night .. Not the 15 th, both policies debit orders ran. The cancellation is well within the 30 day cooling off period so I was entitled to cancel as the policy is not suitable for my needs. I also felt that the salesperson rattles off the policy at such a rate that one is not given the chance to take in the implications as I initially called for a hospital plan and the cash back policy requires me to pay first and then get my money back afterwards. This has also made me think that if they are so dishonest as to debit the account before due date, what would happen if I were ever to submit a claim. Probably battle to get paid?
