Refusing to close my credit card account

I first made contact with Discovery Card 2 weeks ago from an FNB branch to close my account (Monday 3 June 2013) (the branch cannot close the account, you must call Discovery Card); I called again once during that week when the call centre confirmed a call has been logged and has been sent to a manager. I called again on 11 June 2013 when the agent told me someone tried to call me once to confirm closure (I have no record of the call or a message). I asked to speak to a consultant, but was told I cannot, they must contact me. I followed the call up with a written request to close the account, but have still not had any reply from Discovery Card. In addition, they went and charged additional renewal fees to my card. It has now been almost 2 weeks during which I am unable to close my Discovery Card, despite it being fully paid up. Some of the reference numbers: 2886398987; 2886147456
