First National Bank
Unhelpful solution to problem

Business & Finance

Friday 7th June i went to the FNB ATM in Tygervalley to withdraw R450. I received only R350 and this weird piece of paper clearly marked with the FNB branding and a FNB stamp instead of the other R100 note. I went down to the FNB in Tygervalley to ask the TELLER what this piece of paper was and if I could swap it for my other R100... the teller had no idea what it was and after making a phone call to someone, who also had no idea what it was, sent me to wait in another queue to see a consultant. Finally, after waiting another 20min, i spoke to the consultant... who also had no idea what this piece of paper was and after showing it to everyone on her side of the counter and making a phone call to another someone, she told me it was a "treasury Note" that was not removed when filling up the ATM. She then filled out this long form stating what happened, made a copy of the "Treasury Note", and then proceeded to tell me that it would take up to 14 working days to get my R100. That is ridiculous and unacceptable!!! Why on earth must i wait that long for the bank to rectify this? I needed that money then and there, and FNB let me down! im very displeased by this inconvenience!
