STANDARD BANK- POOR SERVICE WITH HOME LOAN

On the 24/04/13, i was granted a home loan from std bank for the amount of R428000.I then withrew the home loan due to the sale been cancelled by the seller. the application No was 4409564. I then purchased another property last week for the amount of R320000 and i made a new application.the application was not granted. the application went for abitration and they refused to grant it as well. the application No was 44561232. i made several enquries and i was told that i owed std bank monies for a master card. the said master card was paid in full and i closed the account with std bank. i have a letter from std bank confriming this. std bank also stated that i owed Nedbank monies for a master card and that i was in arrears. i paid the arrears up to date and i have a letter confirming this.
i want to know from std bank, how did they grant me a home loan on the 24/04/2013 for a higher amount and yet the bank refused me a home 5 weeks later from a lesser amount.
there are many south africans that do go through a bad patch some time in their lives.
i have now sent a new application for a amt of R 305000. I hope im not turned down again. i dont have any judjment.
