I have completely changed my view of rather dealing with a broker.
It doesn't help that you make the processing of the claim a pleasant experience and then follow it through with non-existent assistance, almost no feedback and poor attitude during the actual repair process!! This has been the worst repair experience ever and my claim assistant did not provide me with ANY assistance with queries or concerns I had, hardly kept me informed of what was happening with my vehicle and when I was given an update, it was either incorrect or just inadequate. I was left to deal with the repair agent and fighting battles on additional damages caused by them and harassment from workshop staff without any assistance or feedback from Virgin Money. At this point in time I have finally managed to build up with the repair agent myself and have more information on completion of repairs or status of my vehicle than the Virgin Insurance assistant!
How disappointing, frustrating and extremely stressful!
