I have received good service from ABSA up until now. In the space of 1 week I have experienced poor service on 3 occasions.
I applied for a credit card and I was told that I will be receiving a benefit of 4.5% less on my qualifying interest rate. When I received my credit card I had not received a confirmation of my interest rate so I called ABSA and I was told that I will not be receiving the discount and that the consultant did not know the product. Ridiculous!
I was also supposed to receive a monthly cash back on my credit card. Since Feb I have received nothing. When I called in I was told that it will be taken up and I will receive a confirmation email. I am still waiting.
Lastly, I received a call to offer me ABSA rewards. I was told I qualify for a cash back of 1%. I asked for a confirmation and, once again, I received none. I only got a cash back of .05%. When I called in I was told that the guy in charge was on leave and I would have to wait for him. No one else could help me.
Service is absolutely shocking.
