Have a Credit card i didn't apply for

Hi, in 2013 i went on the Absa website to inquire about a credit card as i was getting married that year and needed extra money. I wanted to see how much i would qualify for. I later just got the money and added up not opening the credit card. Two years later when i was applying for a credit card with FNB i was told that i have another credit card with Absa. i said no. How is it possible that i a credit card if i never even went to sign anything or even give them my ID. I did not agree for the credit card. Today its still reflect under my name, and i just want it cancelled. If i wanted it, i would go into the bank supply them with all my details. years later, they should be able to see that the account is not active and cancel. I wont pay the interest fees because i don't even have a card. When i called Absa a consultant told me that he can't help me and that i have to pay the interest. he was rude, not helpful and very disrespectful. I was shocked at the way i was treated. I need this credit card to be cancelled please. its really frustrating.
