FNB goes on TV and claims to be a champion for nation building and a productive SA yet they are bent on kicking the working class and ripping them off until they are out in the cold. I cannot believe how heartlesss FNB can be, clearly they care about one thing only - maiing money - and to with the people.

I have had an FNB cheque account for a year now and it so happened that 2 months ago I suddenly became unemployed and with no income, fees started piling up and by the end of the second month I owe FNB R1700 in fees. I am lucky to have another job now and thus need to have my salary deposited to my FNB account but with R1700 going to FNB I cannot afford that. I therfeore requested FNB to either give me a discount on these fees seeing that they are just penalties not that any service was actually rendered or if no discount then allow me to pay it overtime, the answer was a no.. the R1700 has to be paid in full and that is it. How stupid, I am not gonna put my salary in that account and am happy to go to Capitec and pay R4.00 a month as opposed to R1700.. Your shortsightednesss and anti working class mindset has cost you this customer;m I am taking my money elsewhere.
