First National Bank
FNB Smartphones - Quick to sell, Slow to Delive

Business & Finance

I changed from another bank to FNB from 1 February 2013. FNB offers excellent value added services and is quite techno-savvy, reducing the amount of time in banks. I was keen to take up a smartphone offer, and did so on 7 May 2013. The deal was approved, and I was informed delivery would take place in 10-15 days. I called once within that period to follow up, but was assured everything was going according to schedule. After the waiting period, I contacted the call center twice and was told the issue would be escalated and someone would RETURN MY CALL. This, of course was not the case on BOTH occasions. Today marks 20 business days since approval, and upon yet ANOTHER call, Tsidi informed me there was no stock. Surely the bank would undertake some form of tracking/feedback with their clients? Why is there even a specific number to call if nothing ever gets resolved? I also emailed my complaint to them, but as yet have not received a reply. Best of all, their fees are already up for review. Thanks FNB. I await your response...
