I handed in a tablet for repairs on 7/01/2013 at MTN's Canal Walk walk-in Service centre. I was assured that the repair would take no more than 3 to 7 working days. After 3 weeks with no feedback, I called the call centre to check on the progress of the repair. I was then told that the device needed a new battery (which I new was rubbish as the battery was perfect...). I paid the specified amount and emailed proof of payment to avoid any further delays and was told that the phone would be ready in 2 days. After a week with no response, I called the call centre again, only to be told that they were waiting for the payment to reflect at the bank, but that the repair has been "escalated". After another week of nothing, I visited the Walk -in centre again and was informed that the phone had been repaired, but had failed a quality assurance check. The matter was again escalated and I was yet again promised a reply within the week. After 5 days, I called the call centre again and was assured that the device was repaired and was awaiting delivery. Today on 14 Feb, after 5 weeks, I was informed that the device was sent to JHB as they had spares in stock for the device Worst service ever!
