My company has been a client of Nedbank for over 11 years. We had a business account with a few investments with the bank and never had problems with the bank only when our banker at the time money from our account. The banker was later fired and we let it slide. Now our account went into the red due to Department of Public works paying US late. After explaining our situation to him due our new banker being on leave he did not want to hear of our problems with the department. He even said he would not open an account for US as our account went into the red. There is money that went into our account from the department and now we cannot access the money. I still have a credit card and a petrol card with the bank. The service which we received after all these years was unaccepted. All we want is to get access to our money. The process which will have to be followed to change banking details at the DPW will be a lengthy process. There is many more payments which will come through this account. For example there is a R1m payment to come through this account. I would hate to have go to another bank after all this time. Even if the money can get transferred into my credit card.
