Return Debits after being told it will be ok

Hi,
I moved from STD bank to FNB last week, while doing the application the gentleman i dealt with was nothing but professional and provided information as i asked. I asked him if I needed to keep money in my old account for the debits to go off - to which he said we could do a debit order switching. I asked him to hold the process as i needed to confirm if my salary would go in the new one first. I got confirmation it would and called him to ask him to send through the forms and he told me he would. Today i got 6 sms's stating my debit orders have come back unpaid - i have never had a rd in all my banking career. Now i am paying for all those fees due to being told yes it would be done but no it is not.. I find this very unfair. I would like FNB to please rectify this error for me as I did not budget for the mess up made. This is NOT how i wanted to start my partnership with your bank. So far my Debit return fees are R250.00. Please fix this refund or credit or something as i have worked hard to get a good name and you will not mess it up
