Poor Service Yet Again

I submitted an debt consolidation application on 14/12/2012 and your call centre confirmed that all documentation was in order and that it would take 15 working days to process. I have been calling the call centre since last week monday (07/01/2013) requesting feedback and they keep saying that the application is being processed and are not able to give me any further information other than to call back in a few days. I asked that it be escalated as I need to have some indication when to expect an answer. if this is going to take a few more weeks then i need to consider approaching another bank.
While I do understand that this could be a lengthy process, Standard Bank should at least keep me informed on the progress - perhaps take FNB's example.
Calling your call centre can be compared to City of Joburg call centre as the people have the same 'don't know and don't care attitude' and do not understand the nature of the application.
I was initially quite hesitant to lodge this complaint as i believe that it may prejudice my application but i think that you need to know why you might be losing me as a client.
