Vehicle insurance added without my permission

Last month, without warning, ABSA deducted and extra R400 from my bank account together with my usual monthly payment. On enquiring about this (they would not let you know from their side!) I was told they've added car insurance from ABSA to my existing account - after 3 years out of the blue! According to them they contacted me in this regard (which they did NOT because I would have told them I already HAVE insurance!).

Anyway, for 30 days now I have sent many faxes and emails with proof of my existing Santam insurance. I have made many phone calls and have been told many times that the money will be refunded "within 3-4 days". Well, after a whole month of trying to get this fixed, the same thing happened again this month!! AGAIN they deducted the insurance without my consent!

Is it pointless to complain? Can ABSA just do as they wish without having to explain or fix it? No matter how they wriggled this into the fine print, it is. Today is the day I will move all my personal and private banking to another bank.

Absolutely shocked by the lack of honesty and integrity at ABSA. And thank you in advance for the non-commital auto-reply I will receive from them here below.
