This is now the third complaint logged about ABSA Card giving or using my personal detail to a third party company to call on their behalf. Last call was in Feb to discuss life cover on my credit card. I received an apology and was guaranteed it will not happed again. Guess what - it happened again - 6th May 2013 was called by Melusi from Braamfontein, Market SA reference MSA 1481723 to discuss increasing the limit on my credit card. On questioning the person to find out how much information they already had of mine - they knew my ID number as well as the current limit on my card.
What will it take for ABSA to stop giving out my information - closing my account seems the only answer.
