Closing your Credit Card at ABSA is a mission

Phoned the absa self help, confirmed that my balance was R0.00
1st person answers: "I'd like to close my account", "OK but you still owe R2.30", "Ok I'll pay it please close it", "ok hold"
2nd person answers: "I'd like to close my account", "OK but you still owe R7.50", "What? Ok I'll pay it please close it", "ok hold"
3rd person answers: "I'd like to close my account", "OK but you still owe R10, 50", "Why does it keep increasing??? Ok I'll pay it please close it", "ok phone in 3 days to confirm you owe nothing then we can close it"

I have now transferred R11 to the credit card, So who knows how much it will be in 3 days time when I phone again.
