My claim for my dachshund for a laryngeal tie back was declined due to non disclosure. Last year in late April/early May, my dog had an allergy which caused her to have breathing problems due to stuffy nose This year in February, she had a problem breathing after 5 days of treatment and no change, I went back to the local vet for the 5th time and was referred to a specialist who diagnosed laryngeal paralysis which was causing her to suffocate. I joined Onepet last September and truthfully answered No to their questions on the application. 1) Currently receiving treatment on any medical condition, 2) Aware of any medical condition that may require attention. 3) On any form of medication. 4) Undergone any major operations in the past. After almost two months of trying to get my claim paid out, I was advised that the claim was repudiated due to non disclosure. They called for a med history on my pet which stated that she had a breathing issue last year and despite my vet issuing a letter stating that the two incidents were unrelated, they stated that I never disclosed the breathing problem. There wording states pre-existing conditions known or unknown are not covered. Beware!!!
