ABSA Blacklisted me WRONGLY!

I applied for a Financial Manager job, and when they did a credit check on me they saw that I had been black listed with ABSA (Student Loan). I therefore lost the job as FM's can't have criminal records/bad credit checks.
When I contacted ABSA (started on Friday - now Tuesday) no one could tell me what it was for. This student loan that they referred to was actually paid of (by monthly debit orders from my ABSA cheque account where my monthly salary gets paid into). ABSA owes ME, due to over payment.
Now ABSA said that they'll remove the listing! What? Why was I blacklisted in the first place? It costed me a job and my reputation is shattered! I need someone to assist me in clearing my name - WITH AN APOLOGY LETTER! Y Anyone out there with some answers for me pleaseeeee!
