Freddy Muluvhu came to my house and informed me about Sanlam investment policy. The policy was for 5 years and I was paying R500 per month. I waited for 2 months for Freddy to come and give me the paper work that proves that I have a policy with Sanlam, he never brought the paper work to me but in the mean time Sanlam was busy debiting my account with R500 each month. So I went to Sanlam to ask if the policy really exist and is in my name, then at Sanlam they confirmed I do have a policy with them. But the policy was not for 5 years as agreed upon with Freddy, it was for 10 years. They confirmed that Freddy does work for them
On top of all that, Freddy took the details that I have given him to open the investment policy and opened a funeral policy in my name without my concern. They deducted R213 from my account as a result of this, now I have requested Sanlam to cancel the funeral policy and give me my money back, they are refusing to give my money back. They tell me to go open a case at police station. I did go the police station to open a case but the police are refusing to open a case for me, because they say I must bring proof of where I signed for the policy.
