On the 25/4/2013 my bank informed me that there was an unpaid debit from Metropolitan life for my funeral cover. Last year I changed employment and notified Metropolitan life of the change of my pay date from the 20th to the 23th of every month. Since then the all debit have been going through successfully on the 23th of every month. However in March 2013 Metropolitan Life decided to debit on the 20th which resulted not only to an unpaid debit on my account but also affected my profile negatively with my bank. I was charged R115 for an unpaid debit by my bank. I then called the Metropolitan life Call Centre to seek clarity regarding this matter. I spoke to a lady called April who told me that my funeral cover has been cancelled due to an unpaid premium. I then questioned the action they have taken to cancel my policy on the basis that they decided to debit on a different date than the one I have indicated to them. She confirmed that it was Metropolitan's fault and she further referred me to her team leader by the name of Motlatsi who assured me that the matter will be resolved within 4 working days and he will call me back. I have not received feedback by today from them.
