I am a client of African Bank and I had relieved my credit card by not using it for time. However, on Tuesday 23 April 2013, I went to a Branch in Wonderpark Shopping Center to have a new card issued as I wanted to use it. I was asked to submit a proof of residence and a copy of ID which I did. My card was then activated and I was able to use it that day, however, on Saturday 27 April 2013 when I tried to use my card again, I discovered that it was no longer working. I then waited for Monday (as it was a holiday and Sunday) to obtain clarity on the card. I was told that the problem is with FICA that blocked my card and that I must resubmit the documents. On Tuesday 30 April 2013 (Seven days later) morning, I then went to the same branch to resubmit the same documents and was promised that my card will be activated. Even now as I am typing this complaint, my card is still not active despite several calls I made today.

Can somebody tell me what kind of an institution is this one, where most of the staff members they either not properly inducted or trained and they just have to work based on their gut feel? This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
