Groupon does not supply voucher for deal bought

I purchased a deal through Groupon on the 27th of December 2013. I used the correct reference they supplied me to use to make payment via EFT from Standard Bank.
The bank sent them proof of payment and I emailed proof of payment and requested my voucher for the deal which I had paid for.
They first sent an email acknowledging my email and then another one saying that they could not locate my payment and that I must get the bank to give me the payment on their letterhead and they will refund me.
This is not how Groupon is supposed to work. You pay using the reference number which they supply and they are supposed to send a voucher.
Now I must be inconvenienced by having to go to the bank to get them to give me something on their letterhead etc when all they have to do is check their bank statement and they should have picked up the payment with the reference number which I used. The same reference number they told me to use.
I told them to check their accounts and send me my voucher. They have not got back to me.
