An Orange Seven-Piece Cast Iron Pot (Voucher code: 00100693MM / REF: 27797813) was purchased through Groupon over 2 months ago. The value of the purchase was R1499. It was endorsed by the Groupon CEO. Payment was made at the time of purchase via credit card. Delivery was guaranteed within one week. Following non-delivery over month, an email was sent to Groupon [Email Removed] on 06/11/13 to follow-up on order. No response received. A follow-up email sent on 13/11/13. No response received. On calling the Call Centre I was informed that Groupon merely advertised the product and any complaints needed to be taken up directly with the Supplier, Calasca. The company only has an email address and no contact number. An email was sent to [Email Removed] on 12/11/13 and also to [Email Removed] on 15/11/13 querying the status. No response has been received to date. What recourse do I have? Does this company even exist and how is it that Groupon refuses to assist for a product that they endorsed. I am afraid to make any other purchases on the Groupon website. What about the Consumer Protection Act?
