NO refund?

I recently bought a Aria hair straightener from an extremely pushy sales person at Kenilworth Centre. According to her, its normal cost was R2700 but she discounted it to R1500 for me seeing as I was very hesitant.
My husband and I went back the very next day (item in original packaging, not opened o used) and explained that we want to return it.
She refused, saying she cannot as it was a promotional item and her boss is in the USA and she will find out from him.
She failed to mention this when 'forcing' me to buy it and when she did her whole sales pitch, she said they would provide a brand new one, should anything happen to it.
When I got home and read the fine print, it said that they would replace it, at an additional fee of R350. They should be investigated for!
