I purchased a Groupon for Aruba Lounge sushi. It stated on the Groupon open Thursday to Sunday, 18:00 to late, valid until 9 September. I went on 5 september (thursday) and suddenly their sushi chef doesn't work on thursdays (despite it saying so on the Groupon). After nearly a month of emails back and forth, Groupon just refused to reimburse me. To get them off my back, I used the credit and bought a Groupon to Yetta's kitchen on Sunday 29 September and made a reservation the same day. On Friday 4 October, Caroline from Yetta's kitchen sent me an email to say the restaurant is closed down and I must ask for a refund. I forwarded this email to Groupon within 3 minutes of receiving it. And surprise surprise, they still refuse to reimburse me!! I wrote on their facebook page and a Shouneez replied. I sent all the emails to him and he just extracts from their terms and conditions. They don't have terms and conditions for a merchant refusing you and the restaurant closing down - these are all events beyond my control! I want my money back and Groupon should be closed down for being the biggest in South Africa!
