It was like having a stalker for a while there

I am so disgusted with this company. I applied for a role with them a while ago and received a response saying I should come in and see them. I then politely replied via e-mail stating my current CTC and that before I wasted their time coming through for an interview would my salary be in the bracket for this role. Knowing our current economy and the cost of petrol I cant afford to drive around for interviews without knowing if it will be worth my while financially as I have had a few interviews where things are not mentioned until you arrive like there will be no basic. I then got a very rude reply saying that Traci felt that my response was very unprofessional and that I should stick to my little 15K a month as her staff were earning way more than that. I was utterly shocked and so replied and asked that she leave me alone. She then contacted my EMPLOYER to tell THEM what a bad person I was and how could they employ someone like me. I am absolutely sick to my stomach thinking that people will jeopardize your current role by contacting your employer just so that they can have the last say. Please be careful when applying just in case it hurts your current role.
