Bought an Alaskan Cruise from Groupon on 14 Feb 2013 for R23, 195.76. Enquired about cabin selection on same day and was advised that they could not guarantee cabin location until just before sailing date. As this was unacceptable to me, I cancelled and requested a refund. Received confirmation from Groupon (Waseema Peters) via e-mail on 08 march that "my refund has been approved". However, refund never happened, despite several phone calls, e-mails etc. I then instructed my bank to do a chargeback of the amount which they did on my May 2013 Statement. Then in my June statement I saw to my dismay that Groupon had just debited my account again. I instructed my bank to do another chargeback which they did and to my amazement Groupon just did another debit on my account on 21 June 2013. I was overseas at the time and phoned Groupon upon my return 07 July. I spoke to Kelly Paulus and she promised to do the refund the same day. However, that never happened. The only thing left to do is another chargeback and to close my bank account which Ive had for 25 Years. Never trust Groupon again - their employees are incompetent, lazy and skilled in only one thing - Lying!
