I booked a flight for my sister who lives in Durban (for her 40th) to fly to visit me in JHB. She arrived without a hitch. When she left to go back to Durban, she was checked in fine, but as he was about to board the plane, she was asked by ground staff to see the credit card that was used for the booking. She told them that I had bought her the ticket and therefore she didnt have the card. They told her to phone me and tell me to photograph the card and sms the photo to her or they would not let her board. This is disgusting on so many levels! They made her wait to the side like a prisoner awaiting trial while every one else boarded. She couldnt reach me as I was busy, but she kept trying to. Eventually at the last minute (after she had been standing to the side for 20 minutes) they lectured her about not having a copy of the card and let her on. Shame on you! Is that how you like to treat your customer? Of course you are going to refer to some small print that we all missed that requires that we BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, but the ticket was purchased three months before the flight date. If you were concerned about, dont you think it would have been reported within that time? Sis, man!
