I was on my way to work from Dube to johannesburg station when we stopped at Crown station and i saw people being usherd off into a caged area. i then felt someone poke me in the back with his finger and turned to him, i had my earphones on so when i removed them to figure out what he wanted he was yelling demanding my ticket. i was puzzeled but was reassured by the metrorail reflective vest he was wearing. i had to reach in with one hand under my jearsey because the other held my phone which at that point annoyed him and he said i was wasting his time and grabbed me by my armpit. luckly i got my ticket out before getting ushered off. Then the train waited 30mins before leaving which left everybody late and then took a longer path around the city. why did they not do ticket checks enroute? why werent us the paying customers told about the delay? no apology nothing at all business as usual. Even with the forever rising taxi fare i feel its a better option than the unreliable Metro rail.
