Dont use African River Company - Pine Pienaa

Arrived for a 2 night, 2 day rowing trip on Breede. First night of arrival, Pine (the guide) was drunk. Harasses the woman (slapping etc.) Made remarks to my colored friend, picked a fight with bikers, drank our alcohol, bumed our smokes. Hinted from the first evening that we would not be in the mood to row the 2nd day. The next day we rowed - boats were not inflated on arrival, he was late. On river no signalling at all (as an experienced rower I know this should be done. He left us alone and went ahead the last stretch. Food was NOT was promised on the menu since the start. Last day of rowing he arroves 20 min late after our meeting him only to tell us his child has meningitis and just left (promising us a free trip). We dont want to drive all the way back out there and get bad service again. We asked for a refund. We complianed on facebook and he reported us. There were other complains - one from a couple who he cancelled on after 600km on the road, offering no alternative and they have still not seen their refund. Dont use this company. Felix and Amanzi are the best rafting companies out there. PS - hsd s feeling hed spent all our $ and nothing left for food nxt day
