Assisted passenger treated like artist

Traveling & Tourism

First of all you cannot book online as asssited passenger, you have to call. I had to book with the rest of my party and called in today to ask to be an assisted passenger. After holding for 10 minutes Masetole answered and tried his best to help me. I was treated by the "special cases" department like a artist because my operation was in January and I am under 50. Forms must be filled in by the person who did the operation (finally after much discussion they accepted that my GP will fill it in). My question is, who in their right mind will want to be an assisted passenger if they do not have to be and further more why should we be treated like artists and must jump through hoops when all we want is a wheel chair to the plane and back? Who there is so medically knowledgeable that they can access people on a form? I pity permanently disabled people who must jump through hoops all the time. I think Kulula's attitude stinks about this.
