SAA
Luggage at OR Tambo - OUT OF CONTROL!

Traveling & Tourism

Myself and my partners when returning from a holiday in Australia on 23 February 2013 upon South African Airways flying for Qantas had our bags broken into and goods the the value of R10 000! locks and wrapping cut off!!
QF481 Melbourne to Perth
QF303 Perth to Johannesburg
SA307 Johannesburg to Cape Town
Upon arrival in Cape Town the first thing we noticed was that both our bags had the plastic safety wrapping taken off as well as the locks cut off. We immediately took our bags to SAA luggage inquiries and upon further inspection we realized that both of our bags had been rummaged through down to dirty washing in a separate packets- our bags were a complete mess! No response yet from SAA, NO APOLOGY OFFERED ON THE DAY! I have subsequently posted on SAA's Facebook page as well started a cause with other victims of luggage at OR Tambo which I came across when doing research on this issue via the internet and Facebook. From my research it seems as if there is plenty of helpless victims of luggage at OR Tambo, the issue is out of control, these are brazen and have no fear of getting caught despite the airport having cameras and being "secured".
