I booked a holiday to Dubai with Richard.. The booking consisted of flights and accomodation. The accomodation agreed upon was a double deluxe room as per our invoice. When the e-ticket came the room was now standard. I realised this and I emailed them. I then contacted them to inquire and I
was told that all was in order. This was before we left for Dubai. When we arived at the hotel, we were told that our agency booked a standard room. We asked them if they could contact them and they told us that it was our problem not theirs. We then decided to pay 600 aed to upgrade our room. When we got back home I started quering with imagine holidays and Ronvin advised that they will only refund R1000 and provide us with a holiday voucher for same amnt. The compensation is below the amnt they should have paid. The excuse they use is that I did not use the emergency number thus I must forfeit the money. They are making an extra buck at our expense. The recording of my query cannot be found. I requested details of their ombudsman but they aslo did not reply. Their service is really bad. They just need to rectify their error fairly and just stop making it look like I am at fault.
