When planning our romantic holiday away for 2.We came across FARHILLS Country Hotel. Their website advertises a unique experience and beautiful views of the mountains of George. Offering standard rooms as well as de lux rooms with a price variance of R100 incl breakfast. Upon phoning them to make the booking, we were told to phone back the next day as the person who makes the bookings is not in at the moment. I phoned the next day and made the necessary arrangements. No confirmation was given, but was only advised to come and all will be sorted. Whilst passing by on a business trip a few days before my reservation date, I decided to go view the place and confirm my reservation. After searching the system for a half an hour, the lady behind the counter found it. When checking in a few days later, we were advised that check in time was at 14.00. We decided to have lunch there and wait for 14.00 only to then be told that our room still was not cleaned. We left and gave them the oppurtunity to clean the room properly. When we arrived back a few hours later, we were shown our room and in disgust turned around from the flea, fly and spider web invested room in search of new accomodation
