Our flight from JNB to Dbn was delayed on Friday evening 15 November. We queued for over two hours; my elderly mother stood in the queue and even though we were right in front of the queue we were totally ignored. The staff behaved unprofessionally as they were all evening trying to sort out something on the screen... every now and then speaking over the phone. They appeared as if they did not know at all what was going on. One lady in airport uniform (not Mango uniform) was also trying to assist and she was chatting to the assistants while chewing gum. This was totally unprofessional. Staff stick to your work. We were told that the flight was delayed but we were never informed clearly. Passengers were getting frustrated with the lack of communication. All was left to stand around wondering what was going on. Please Mango, next time apologise, communicate clearly and always remember YOUR IMAGE in front of so many customers! Please at least appear to be in control and behave professionally. I missed my airport transfer in Dbn and had to pay a lot of money because of this delay. Also, please improve your very noisy communication and announcement style during flights.
