Holiday turned bad

I am a member of Leisure Club (111697) for many years. I booked a week long holiday (15/9-22/9) at Umhlanga Cabanas. We only booked in late Monday afternoon. When we arrived we saw a lot of building rubble lying around and upon enquiry we were told they are busy with renovations. When we asked about the noise, etc. the desk clerk assured us it is not too bad. So we booked in in good faith.

Imagine our surprise when they started working the next day. We are old people and we were without transport so we were hoping it would get better, but it didn't. On top of it, we had friends with us. Needless to say, we moved out on the Friday because we couldn't take it anymore. I also incur other expenses, like plane tickets, etc.
Two of your staff members phoned me in the meantime to enquire about our holiday but as soon as I started telling them about our ordeal, they apologise politely and then they are not interested anymore.

Under the above circumstances I feel it is only fair that I get my points and my money back. I must be compensated in a fair way, because this was not a holiday but a disaster.
