SAA Cargo Costs SA Exhibition in Accra

SAA Cargo was contracted on Friday 15th November to freight an exhibition stand to Accra for a specialist exhibition. Cargo fees were paid upfront under way bill # 08314679265. After running around in Accra for three days looking for our cargo we eventually discovered that the stand had not left SA due to SAA offloading the cargo on two different occasions. The exhibition is in full swing and we have paid top $ as a platinum sponsor to the exhibition, but have now no presence there. According to SAA Cargo (Wesley) they will load this when they have space. The fact that we have paid almost US$ 40 000-00 to exhibit is unimportant as the fine print on the back of the " document" indemnifies them. The attitude displayed is uncaring and nonchalant with SAA taking no responsibility. They could at least have called us to advise us, had they experienced a problem. This would at least prevented us wasting time in Accra and allowed us to explore alternative solutions. As of today Monday 18th we have no exhibition stand and no way of knowing whether we will actually be able to salvage the situation.
