True Cost of flying with British Airways

Remember to add R900 to the cost of your British Airways ticket. This is to obtain a UK AirsideTransit Visa simply to step off from the one plane to the next. (Note - Not leaving the airport.) Also, despite the fact that UK is probably the only country that has this silly visa requirement, do not expect BA to warn or inform you about this requirement that will prevent you from flying with their airlines to another country.

What you can expect however is air-personnal giving you the screen-saver ' you' stare to tell you that you have just lost your R10k ticket and should go home now.

Moral of the story - It is actually lots CHEAPER and a whole lot MORE CONVENIENT to NOT FLY BA and rather opt for someone like KLM.
