My husband and I were booked on the flight MN536 supposedly leaving King Shaka Airport to Lanseria at 18:30 on the 1/09/2013. We were originally told that our flight had been delayed by about an hour and and would leave at 8pm. Thereafter we were informed that the delay was due to a malfunction and that technicians were fixing the so the delay was "indefinite". They eventually moved us to a different boarding gate only to get our hopes of boarding crashed by another wait of 2hrs. Our flight eventually left at 11:30 but the worst part was the blatant disregard the Kulula staff had for the very patient customers. Many parents had sleeping children in their arms with nobody caring to offer any assistance. I personally heard the ground staff complaining at passengers getting irate & they mentioned that they would also like to go home & not work late. That is absolutely ludicrous considering that it's their JOB!!! Kulua staff handled the situation pathetically and when I tried to call the call centre-they were closed! So we were literally left at the mercy of unhelpful staff and a aircraft with a technical issue. I'd rather pay more and receive better service even from SAA!!
