On the 23rd of August 2013 At 10h35 I entered the airport and proceeded to the SAA check in counter for flight to depart at 11h30am from OR Tambo to George. In the check in line a gentleman said he needs to wrap my luggage as it was strict rules from SAA.By the time I got to the check in counter it was 10h44am. The gentleman behind the counter took My wife and my I. D documents and advised us that check in for this flight has closed at 10h40am 4 minutes prior. He nicely advised me to go to the ticket sales counter and purchase new tickets. No assistance, or concern whatsoever. I then requested to speak to someone in charge. I was then advised that there was no one at that moment. Then I was directed to and indian lady who just sarcastically said theres nothing she can do about it and i must buy a new ticket. My wife then started speaking to a black guy (sorry for using terms of colour but I do not have their names) and this guy made a phone call and said he will be bringing two passengers with their hand luggage... and then it all seemed fine. He was then advised by the indian lady to not proceed. I had to purchase a new ticket. Wrote a email to SAA.no response till today
