I'm writing this email as a passenger who is
very irate with the low standards n bad
service that has come from shosholoza meyl
in just 5 days.
On 21/08/13 my family took a train from
park station to queenstown. Upon our
arrival the compartments were filthy n had
a pungent smell. Because its still cold the
heaters in the compartments were not
working so we froze over night. When we
finally questioned the lady who was train
manager she said that she isn't responsible
the cleanliness of the train.
Really needs to learn from the passengers.
The compartments i was told are "first class"
but i used to travel by train n know that
those compartments r part of the old
economy (third class). U should live up to ur
slogan; "A pleasant experience".
On the 25/08/13 my family n dozens of ppl
with babies waited for a train that was
supposed to arrive a 19:00 but neva arrive.
If a locomotive breaks down prasa should
have a contingency plan for things like this.
Waiting for a train in the blistering cold isn't
good for ppl.
Is this a way to treat ppl who prefer long
distance train. Prasa claims to be upgrading
trains but it seams that-that process is
taking too long. I am very upset about this.
