On the 6th of June 2013 a friend of mine's daughter booked a bus ticket from PE to JHB (Vanderbijl). She bought it at Checkers in Jeffreys Bay Mall. My husband and I took her to the bus station at Greenacres, PE, but we drove from J"Bay, which is approx 100km. We waited with her at the bus stop and about half an hour before departure, they announced that the bus had a bad breakdown and that we must return the following day. We could not drive all the way back and return the next day (approx 400km drive), so we bought her another ticket with InterCape. I feel they should have accomodated us as it was their mistake. After she left we went back to the SA Roadlink office and they took the ticket and gave us a reference 5362142 for the refund. After that no one contacted us, so I took it apon myself to do the follow-up. Spoke to Celeste on 21/6/13 at 12h30 and she promised to investigate and give feedback which she never did. Again I phoned on 1/7/13 15h00 and spoke to Celeste and she gave me ref no RL7652114. She said they will refund on 5/7/2013 and instead I received an sms that my refund was unsuccessful and that I can rebook a ticket before the 15/8/13. Not acceptable.
